Arsenal are thought to be interested in Brazil playmaker Ganso, adding their name to the long list of European clubs keeping tabs on the star according to Mirror Football.

The Emirates Stadium outfit are looking to improve on their third-placed finish from last term, and have already added Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud to their playing squad for next season.

Ganso is a player that has been recognised for his performances in South America, with a host of teams in Europe now ready to battle it out for the Santos man’s signature.

Tottenham are thought to be keen on the attacking midfielder, however Arsene Wenger will watch the player in Brazil’s warm-up game against Team GB in Middlesbrough on tonight.

Ganso is part of a talented generation of young Brazilian players coming through the ranks, and is currently in Britain for the Olympic Games.
