  The award-winning Apple TV+ production saw series three come to a close in May 2023. The project was shelved indefinitely at that point, with Lasso returning to his native United States from an eventful spell coaching in England.

  Mohammed, who plays Nathan Shelley in the hit show, has always hinted that Lasso and Co could return at some stage. There are now plenty of reports to suggest that title character and writer Jason Sudeikis is back on board, with early 2025 being pencilled in for an emotional reunion between cast and crew.

  Various stars of the show have aired their excitement at potentially returning to the world of AFC Richmond, while viewers are eager to see how the next chapter of an intriguing tale plays out. Mohammed continues to get them in the mood with his social media activity, posting: “Oh man, I just remembered this line: it’s not that I refuse to talk about you going home, it’s that I refuse to accept that you are not coming back.”
